With such a vast amount of characters and new ones constantly being added, this game just never loses its luster for me. I admit, I grew up in the era of this style of gameplay and thus probably somewhat biased here, but I always thought things like, "wouldnt it be cool to be able to have a party comprised of characters from different Final Fantasy games?" And "wouldnt it be awesome if you could play as villains?" This game comes thru on both counts! The possibilities of character combinations for your party are virtually endless! As if that wasnt enough, you get to fight in realms that span every game in the series from 1 to 14 (excluding 11 currently) with new ones being added all the time. Between that, the daily dungeons, the recent addition of nightmare dungeons, and event dungeons, theres always something to do on this game.... as long as you have stamina for it. Its probably a good thing that stamina limits how much you can play at a time, otherwise Id probably never put it down. I see a lot of other reviews that bash the relic draw system, and maybe it is rigged, I dont know. Ive burned 50 mythril at a time attempting to get unique weapons and got nothing but junk, but other times Ive tried individual draws (5 mythril) and received unique weapons on consecutive pulls, so yeah, its a crap shoot, but it doesnt deter from my overall enjoyment of this game! I love the throwback to the old rpg style and that it blends old favorites with newer ones. Sure the graphics are outdated but some of the more powerful spells, abilities, attacks, and summons are still pretty cool to watch! The only gripe I can think of is this: pay close attention when changing/upgrading to another device. Pay attention to how the game instructs you to save/upload your data to the server. I made the mistake of thinking I had my data backed up on my phone (I didnt) and had to start all over once. Live and learn I guess but its never fun to have to do that so if I can spare someone else from making that mistake then mission accomplished. But other than that I dont care what anyone else says, very fun and addictive. This game rocks!!!

And even if you arent a final fantasy fan, this game offers gameplay with depth and good mechanics. FFRK is also a game where micro transactions are kept to a minimum and mythril (the in game currency) is given generously.

Great mindless game to play allllll the time and it is a lovely montage of all the games. :)

I mean what can I say other than its just too good? They give you free in game items all the time and you hardly ever need to make any micro transactions if you even need to at all. Its fun. Its cute. It has all your favorite characters (well almost). They have even introduced wardrobe changes for characters. You can have 5 characters with you in battle that have 3 equipment slots each: A weapon, armor, and an accessory. The only draw backs to this game is to this game are the abilities and the fact that you have stamina. You can only equip two abilities for each character and the abilities have usages. So instead of characters having mana they all get flat ability usages. This can be a pain in longer event dungeons. Just use your abilities wisely. The stamina issue is the only thing I find myself struggling with. If I have to retreat from a boss in a high stamina dungeon I feel like Ive wasted everything and feel unmotivated to try again because I could be using that stamina to farm orbs and the such. If the app was a flat amount of money and got rid of the stamina so I could play to my hearts content, you bet I would buy. But all in all its a great app. All your favorite final fantasy characters and bosses all in one place. Brings a tear to my soulless and heartless corpse.

Actually appreciate that they added this to the series and hopefully there will be more to come.

Great ftp game. Always something new. Definitely a must have for all ff fans

Just finished the second dungeon, and so far its fun. Im guessing that since SE has a record of defiling its old games with all of the enthusiasm of a necrophiliac undertaker, this magic will wear off fairly soon. 5 stars so far, but taking 3 off for anticipation of SE shoving its middle finger in the game somewhere.

This is the worst sort of microtransaction design, where the ability to actually play the game is on a timer, acquiring items in game is based on blind luck and a currency that takes forever to build up, etc. They are dragging the legacy of Final Fantasy directly through the mud for a quick buck, everything "new" here is just an unpolished framework to support their awful business model while capitalizing on nostalgia and not having to actually do anything creative while reusing old assets from previous games, some from the "bad" remakes where they ruined the art when going for high def and not having any kind of talent or art direction. Dont bother with this if you care about the source material at all, or were expecting a real game.

Awesome game overall, but I would love to see some sort of store where you can save up and buy 5* weapons and armor to help complete your sets. even if one 5* item cost 50 mythril I would do it just to get the item I wanted, instead of only depending on the random possibility of maybe getting something you want...or at least being able to select 1 5* item you want when you spend your 50 mythril. Other than that great game!!!

A great game that allows for the best team ups of all time.

Im absolutely loving this game so far.

So far Im enjoying it like I did with brave frontier games but the problem is the time it takes to load. Something tells me there are some bugs they need to seriously work out

Highly addicting beware!

The game is asking me to write a review barely out of the tutorial, but all right. It certainly seems like its aimed at the nostalgia part of the brain. It starts out with a little too much FFVII stuff for my tastes, but hopefully all the games will be represented equally.

Love this game!! Although it would be really time consuming

This is the first mobile app I have sunk time into and the first Ive ever spent a little bit of money. I have been playing since day one and have every character available and every crystal except a few in the hall of rites and enjoy collecting characters and materia. I have seen a couple reviews saying support is horrible and while that might be true for that individual I overwrote my account in my phone with my wifes by mistake and there was a huge mix up involving them overwriting both our phones and putting my account on them both causing her to lose her account to having my account on her phone and hers on mine but over the course of 2 weeks it did get fixed and after this long process the support team sent me a personal message saying they were very happy we were able to get the issue resolved and thanked us for our patience. The only gripe I have is I wish drop rates for rainbows were better and Id wish if you did the 50 mythril draw that at least 1 rainbow was guaranteed.
